Content and muddy young male Tiger resting at dusk in Kahna National Park

Kahna reflection - thrilled to find this guy right before sunset. You can spend days and days scouring the forest with either no Tiger sightings or sightings with limited photographic value.

Gaur

Barasingha or Swamp Deer

Sloth Bear -feeds primarily on insects (termites and ants) and fruit and are not carnivorous. However, they are territorial and there are a fair number of attacks on humans in India. Earlier in the week we saw a family of Tigers deep inside a Bamboo thicket on a Sloth Bear they had killed during the night.

Gaur - once again the world's largest wild cattle species. This massive bull probably weighs over 3,000 pounds and stands over six feet tall.
